ASTDN - Association of State and Territorial Directors of Nursing

The Association of State and Territorial Directors of Nursing began in 1935 as an advisory group of state health department nurses. ASTDN continues today as an active association of public health nursing leaders from across the United States and its Territories. ASTDN is an affiliate of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO).

ASTDN Mission

Provide a collegial forum to advance the public health nursing leadership role in protecting and promoting the health of the public.

Foster healthy people in healthy communities through excellence in public health nursing leadership.

ASTDN Membership

ASTDN has three categories of membership.

  1. Voting Member:
    The State of Territorial Director of Public Health Nursing or official State or Territorial designee.
  2. Alumni Member:
    Former State/Territorial Directors of Public Health Nursing or official designee.
  3. Associate Member:
    Public Health and Nursing colleagues, educators, friends and supporters of ASTDN and Public Health Nursing, members of affiliated or related organizations or agencies.

Voting Member -----$300.00
Alumni Member ----- $ 35.00
Associate Member -$ 35.00
